Yes, we can leave woodchips on your property after pruning or removing a tree. Please let us know ahead of time.

We clean up all debris from our tree services before leaving, unless you have made prior arrangements.

We take steps to minimize lawn damage, including using ground protection mats. Our arborist will address any concerns about yard and lawn damage during the proposal visit.

Our team can grind or remove stumps after tree removal. However, this is optional and is subject to an additional charge. Please specify your preference when requesting a proposal.

It depends on your location and the type of work to be done. We will assist in determining if permits are needed and help you through the process.

Tree preservation is our passion, and we do everything we can to help you save your trees. Contact us today to set up an appointment with one of our certified arborists.

Proposals / Quotes / Estimates

Yes, we provide free, no-obligation proposals for tree care services. When you request an estimate, you’ll schedule a free site visit with our certified arborist who will examine your trees and craft a custom proposal for your project. A fee may apply for proposals outside of our normal service area, or for appraisals for insurance companies.

It may be possible, but it depends on the extent of the work. You can ask a crew member or call our office or send us a text at 574-276-6359 to arrange a proposal.

We need to visit your property and see the trees in-person to understand the scope of the work. Every job is unique and often full of challenges that you might not notice. Our certified arborist will walk through your property and examine the following:

  • Structures in the surrounding area
  • Dangers posed by the tree
  • Proximity to power lines
  • Ease of access to the work area
  • Any other problems that may cause barriers to getting the work done safely and efficiently

Many times, it isn’t necessary to be home for us to provide a proposal if it’s clear exactly what work you want us to do and which trees to work on. But for larger or more complicated jobs, it’s best if we can meet you onsite to talk through the project.

Yes, we can still give you a quote. We might have questions, but we can usually discuss everything over the phone or a video call.

We make it as easy as possible to accept a proposal for tree work! At the end of the site visit, our estimator will show you the proposal on an iPad and go over it with you to explain each section and answer any questions you may have. They’ll also send it to you by email through our proposal software.

To accept the proposal, you have three options:

  1. Sign electronically on the estimator’s iPad before they leave
  2. Click the acceptance link in our emailed proposal
  3. Call us or send us a text at 574-276-6359 and give us verbal approval (although it’s always best to use option 1 or 2 instead).

For customers who don’t have an email address, we can text you a proposal or we can send it through U.S. Mail. You can sign the proposal and return it by mail to Higher Ground Tree Care, 12586 Heather Park Dr, Granger, IN 46530.

Scheduling

Generally, no, unless the consulting arborist indicates otherwise, or the work area isn't accessible without you being present (e.g., there’s a locked gate you need to open to give us access to your property).
